Housing Supply is Improving but the Market Remains Competitive

The total months of available inventory increased more than 22 percent statewide in July from 2017 numbers, the Wisconsin REALTORS Association reported. Dane County saw a 15.6 percent increase over the same period of time.

While we’re seeing an uptick on the number of homes on the market, they aren’t lasting long. Low unemployment and a strong economy continue to make for a strong seller’s market. On average, the period of time homes remained on the market declined by approximately 11.5 percent from July 2017 to 2018, according to the WRA. In Dane County that number declined 4.7 percent.

With conditions continuing to create a competitive market, it's even more important to enlist the help of a Realtor.  Call me and we can chat!
