Last Minute Winter Prep

There is still time!  Unseasonable warm Wisconsin weather for the next few days means you still have time to make those last minute repairs and finish fall projects before the snow flies. Get after it!

Grateful

As we prepare for another Thanksgiving holiday, it’s time to reflect on the goodness in our lives.  I actually try to do this every day, but during the Thanksgiving season I’m a little more diligent!

This is the only holiday that is truly an American holiday. Did you know, Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the National bird?  This all-American celebration has nothing to do with ethnicity, religion, beliefs or culture.  It is simply a time to give thanks to the large and seemingly insignificant blessings we all have.

So, here is a list of what I am grateful for.  It is not a complete list and it’s in no special order.  What's on your list?

  • The innocence of babies
  • Good health
  • Visits with my parents
  • The smell of fresh baked cookies
  • The wisdom of the elderly
  • A need for nothing (want, yes; need, no)
  • A safe place to call home
  • Phone calls from my children
  • Laughter
  • My husband
  • Chocolate
  • Kindness
  • Crossing Guards
  • Family and friends
  • Volunteers of all kinds
  • Four seasons
  • Goodwill

Happy Thanksgiving!

A Great Place to Call Home

I often have to pinch myself to realize how lucky I am to call south-central Wisconsin home.

What about those who are in the process of relocating to the Madison area? It can be a daunting time for them, as they pack up all their belongings and move to an area where they might not know a single person. There is always someone moving to the greater Dane County region, and despite some initial awkwardness, we think they certainly will be thankful they choose to move here.

The Madison area is consistently ranked as one of the top leading cities in the nation for healthcare, eco-friendliness, sports and activities, quality of life, local cuisine, and culture. There are many reasons one may be considering relocating to the area: a career, attend college/school, to improve one’s quality of life, retirement, etc. Whatever the reason, I am happy to help make the move easier every step of the way.  Perhaps you know someone who could benefit from my services.  Send them my way!  As always, I am happy to help!

Need a Contractor?

As the days grow shorter and the sun is lower in the sky, it's time to finish those outdoor projects before we batten down the hatches for winter.

Need your chimney looked over?  I have chimney contractors I work with.

Looking for a painter?  I can help with that.

A nagging plumbing issue causing your grief? I have people.

Whatever your home needs, I just want you to know I'm here and ready to help.  I have contractors from all disciplines and I'd be happy to send them your way.

 Happy Fall!
