Marketing Made Easy

Marketing has become complicated.  We are inundated at every turn, billboards, social media, mass media, yard signs, the list is endless.

Sometimes the marketing is so over-the -top it makes it difficult to make a decision at all (which of course, is a decision).

So, I was pleased as punch when my 7 year-old nephew came up with excellent marketing material for me!  It's simple, to the point and true!

The copy reads,
"Come on In!
Great house
Nest included
Brand new
Cheap rent
Birdfeeder nearby"

Beautiful!  Simple. Straight forward. Honest. And a bit intriguing!  Time for me to take notes...and tap into that 7 year-old brain more often!

June Home Sales

Ahh, summer in Madison!  The festivals, the races, the pure joy of living in Madison has hit it's stride as we enter mid-summer.

We are now at the mid-point of 2014 and the housing market intensity seen earlier this spring has slowed.  Perhaps it's a mid-summer lull, as families begin summer vacations and cabin getaways up north.

Moving to Monroe

A staple at Hilldale Mall for more than 40 years, Rupert Cornelius has moved to Monroe St!  The new location at 1717 Monroe St. is located between Orange Tree Imports and The Monroe St. Library in the spot previously occupied by an antiques store and Madison Futons, prior to that.

The Grand Opening is scheduled for Wednesday July 9th from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.  Their regular store hours will be Monday-Saturday 11-7 and Sundays 12-5.  The store will be closed on Tuesdays.

Rupert Cornelius was voted by Isthmus favorite women's clothing in 2013.  The store will be a welcome addition to the already wide array of specialty shops on Monroe St..  Here's hoping the store finds Monroe St. a place to call home for another 40 years!

The House of Smiles!

Every once in a while, I come across a house that just makes me happy!  I recently took a listing that was just such a house (you can find it here!).  It has a darling front porch, an open floor plan, a master bath and a second bedroom and bath for a growing family or guests.

It's in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood and would be the perfect house for the first-timer or the couple that is downsizing.

Of course, it's not for everyone, but the special person that will eventually call this house home will be thrilled with the low maintenance yard, the mud room off the attached two-car garage and the patio waiting for the glass of ice tea to be enjoyed.

It's a turn-key property just waiting to be loved.  And every time I set foot inside it makes me smile!  It could make you smile, too :)
